As the Spring Festival of 2024 approaches, bringing about a renewal of everything, the first phase of the City University of Hong Kong (Dongguan) campus will officially open. The campus is located in Songshan Lake High-tech Zone (Science City), the pilot area of the Greater Bay Area's Comprehensive National Science Center.
The area where the first phase of the City University of Hong Kong (Dongguan) campus is located has gathered national-level large scientific facilities such as the China Spallation Neutron Source, the Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory, which is the first batch of provincial laboratories in Guangdong Province, the Southern Light Source Research and Testing Platform, and the Advanced Attosecond Laser, as well as new research and development institutions and high-tech enterprises such as Huawei.
With a promising future, City University of Hong Kong (Dongguan) will become an important hub for industry-academia-research collaboration, and its campus will also become one of the new landmarks in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, providing students with a richer and more enlightening learning experience.
