Admissions Policy
City University of Hong Kong (Dongguan) International Quality Talent Scholarship
1. Quota and renewal conditions
International Talent Scholarship (RMB 50,000/school year)
The International Talent Scholarship is only awarded during the student's studies. In principle, it is awarded for four years to students majoring in non-clinical medicine, and for six years to students majoring in clinical medicine.
Only those award-winning students whose average GPA reaches 3.3 (full score is 4.3) in each academic year can continue to receive the award in subsequent academic years. If the student's average GPA during the academic year does not meet the above renewal requirements, the scholarship can still be retained and the student will enter a one-year probation period. If the GPA in the following year does not meet the renewal requirements, the award of the International Talent Scholarship must be terminated.
The International Talent Scholarship cannot be combined with other freshman scholarships (for details, please refer to the "City University of Hong Kong (Dongguan) 2024 Freshman Entrance Scholarship and Bursary Implementation Measures").
2. Application qualifications and procedures
(1) Application qualifications
Outstanding senior high school students with high overall quality, innovative consciousness, and hope to receive international education can be eligible to apply for the International Talent Scholarship if they meet any of the following conditions:
1. Students from the international talented student base can be recommended by the school (signature of the principal or stamped by the school) or apply individually. Individual applications must be among the top 4,000 in the provincial and municipal college entrance examination.
2. Students from non-international gifted student bases and students who are ranked among the top 4,000 in the college entrance examination by province or city can submit applications in their own name.
(2) Application method
There are two ways to apply: "International Talent Base Recommendation" or "Individual Application" (the specific implementation method is subject to the notice of each admissions team of our school).
Method One: International Talent Base Recommendation
Our school invites middle schools to make recommendations directly. The recommendation list must be signed by the principal of the middle school or stamped with the official seal of the middle school, and is provided to our school by the middle school. Recommended students also need to fill in their own information in the registration system.
Method 2: Personal application
The establishment of the International Talent Scholarship aims to encourage and attract more outstanding students to apply for our school. If there are other outstanding students who meet the application qualifications of our school, they can also apply through personal declaration.
1. Online application: From now on, you can log in to the official university admissions website, enter the undergraduate registration system (https://register.cityu-dg.edu.cn/Login) to register, and follow the system prompts to complete the online application process.
2. Application deadline: Deadline is July 10 each year.
3. Application supporting materials: The completeness of the personal information filled in the registration system must reach 90%;
This method will be implemented from the 2024-grade undergraduate students and will be explained by the Admissions Office of City University of Hong Kong (Dongguan).
